Michelle coordinates the administrative processes that keep Ground Works running smoothly. Prior to joining Ground Works in 2023, Michelle was a classroom teacher. She has experience teaching elementary and middle school students in multiple Bay Area communities, and before that she ran afterschool programs. Michelle is bilingual in Spanish and previously taught English at Escuela Politécnica Nacional, a public university in Quito, Ecuador. Michelle earned a bachelors degree in psychology from UCLA and holds teaching credentials in multiple subjects and in special education.

Originally from Alameda County, Michelle enjoys playing soccer, reading novels, going on adventures with her daughter, and singing along to Broadway musicals (her favorite is Wicked).
