Natalie Olivas

Natalie joined Ground Works in June 2023 and brings a background in organizing, racial equity, and climate justice. She works on housing advocacy, community development, and climate projects through her research, GIS, and design skills. Her background in environmental justice is rooted in her upbringing in California's Central Valley, where she was exposed to the detrimental effects of the oil and gas industry. She worked on climate justice as a community organizer in Watsonville where she found her love of community planning and advocacy. She recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a Master's in City Planning with a concentration in housing community and economic development. She received her bachelor's in environmental studies at Cal State University Monterey Bay.
